Tree Planting

Tree Planting

In late autumn 2021 after almost two years of planning, a group of family, friends and a wonderful collection of over 30 volunteers from all walks of life took part in a day of planting over 400 trees in the fields above Great Missenden left to us by our grandmother Zoe Dowson.

She was a proper countrywoman and forward thinker, always aware of environmental issues, and I am sure she’d have been delighted to know these native trees were going into the fields which she nurtured.

At the DMC Advantage we are keenly aware of the environmental impact of the international events space and this initiative goes a small way to help offset our footprint.

There was a real feeling of contributing to a positive change and we are now very excited to help nurture the trees we planted and watch them grow in the years ahead.

Thank you to the wonderful Chiltern Rangers, Chilterns Conservation Board, the Chalk, Cherries and Chairs initiative and The Woodland Trust.
